Sept. 30, 2007 Elite Series professional angler Randy Howell of Springville, AL highlighted the 4th Annual Back 40 Outreach Wild Game Dinner Saturday, September 29, 2007. Click here for a slideshow of pictures from the dinner. A crowd of all ages from all over the midsouth enjoyed a great evening of home-cooked wild game, Vitamin Water, and casting/shooting contests. Randy’s testimony of overcoming physical adversity and how God continually uses him following the tragic loss of a fellow angler captivated the audience. The evening concluded with a message and invitation from David Carrell of Lighthouse Family Ministries. Congratulations to Ben Camp for winning the casting contest. Thanks go to Randy Howell for donating a tournament-used Quantum PT spinning rod/reel combo and big thanks to David Gnewikow and Clark Marine for providing a boat for the casting contest. Thanks also to Andy Afflick of the Par Fishing Challenge and Mark Menendez and Strike King Lures for donating door prizes. This year we added a car show to the mix of activities during the dinner. We had an awesome turnout with a variety of vehicles including antique Model A Fords, an antique fire truck, an exotic Lamborghini and a rare, modern day Ford GT. We even had a one-of-a-kind hydrogen powered 1950's model Chevy truck. Thanks to all the car owners that participated. We hope to have an even larger show at our next dinner.
