September 12, 2008 What a day in the field. With the conclusion to the 2nd Annual Kyle Hutchison Memorial Dove Hunt we would like to thank all those who participated in making this event a success. I am not sure how the day could have been any better. We had great food, great friends and last but not least plenty of dove. After riding around and seeing the amount of hulls on the ground, I think the ammo manufacturers send their thanks as well. The day began with a great lunch cooked by Jeff Parkinson, Travis Taylor and Kerry Risley. We then had around 65 hunters to take to the field and try their hand and knocking down those fast flyin aves. We want to thank Patricia Frawley for passing out the apples, cookies and Gatorade during the hot day while everyone worked hard providing food for their family. As someone stated, it was nice for her to add a little class to our rough group of guys for a change. So as not to be outdone by a great hunt, we were also able raise over $1,000.00 to go to the Kyle's Boys Education Fund. This money will help some deserving kids with their education needs. Kyle Hutchison left us with a great example of service. I hope we take the lessons he taught us through his actions and continue to pass them on to others.  |
