It sometimes seems to follow me! Best Fishing Memory: Fishing with my Granddaddy Upton Best Hunting Memory: 1) My first turkey. I was fishing/hunting at Percy Priest WMA in the spring of 1993. I had no idea how exciting it would be and I've been hooked ever since. 2) My first deer. Hunting with my uncle John Upton in Wayne Co. in 1982. It was my first time to ever go deer hunting & he set me up in the perfect spot. I was so small I could only climb the tree about 7 feet & the deer (8 of them) walked right under me. I still get the shakes thinking about it. Favorite Hunting Technique: Turkey hunting while fishing Favorite Fishing Technique: Wading a small stream or river fishing with light tackle Favorite Place to shop for Outdoor gear: Bass Pro Outdoor World Favorite Equipment (Guns, Boats, Reels, Tents, Atvs, Clothing, etc): Mathews Bow, Browning Rifle .270, Bionic Blade Fishing Rod, Muck Boots. Favorite Wild Game Food: Grilled Pig tenderloin Item in First Aid Kit you use most: Anti-Itch cream & Sudafed Person most responsible for cultivating your love for the outdoors: The people who always had time to take me hunting & fishing when I was young: My Dad, Fred Frawley, My Granddaddy Upton, My Uncles John Upton & Ferdy Cruce. Outdoor Hero: Mr. Bill Parsons, 85 years old and still hunting & fishing 3-4 times a week. Favorite Scripture: Col. 3:17 Any spiritual lessons you have learned on outdoor events: Being rescued (truck stuck in the mud & wouldn't start) by an old man in a VW Camper after watching numerous 4x4 trucks drive past without stopping to help. |
